Conservation - Insights Regarding the 'Land Ethic'

This essay by Aldo Leopold is simply amazing in it's scope, simplicity of language, and depth.  This is one of those readings that stimulates a storm of thought about so many issues in my mind.  Any given paragraph triggers recognition of patterns in societal behavior for me.

A really good writer's works allows one to discover ones self through the content of the work.  There are a lot of writers who can tell a story, captivate the reader with plot and character development.  It is rare to find a writer who's work helps one understand and, at least internally, articulate the readers own story.  This for me is one of those works.
